SLC-E Migration

This migration will take place every night from 10PM until 6AM MST starting Wednesday, August 20, 2014 and completing Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 6AM.

At Hostingking.com, we know our customers need high quality, high performance hosting services, so we’ve made it our calling to deliver state of the art cloud solutions. From time to time, this means we need to carry out maintenance and upgrades to our clouds.

The good news is, we’re about to make some improvements to the cloud that hosts our services in Salt Lake City. As a result, your services will benefit from better performance and greater stability, with newer and more robust hardware. Also, your services will be migrated to a Tier 1 storage solution utilizing state of the art SSD flash technology that will provide big improvements in disc performance without sacrificing high availability and stability!

Our engineers are experts at managing migrations and have planned to minimize any disruptions. We will ensure a smooth transition and will not remove the old storage facility until the new one is online and working correctly.

One more thing you need to know is, we anticipate there will be approximately 30 minutes of downtime per Linux VM and up to 3 hours of downtime per Windows VM.
